Adoption Day

Hello everyone,

Do you know by reducing, reusing and recycling helps save our planet, you can also help to save animals and plants by 'adopting’ them.
With the World Wildlife Fund(WWF), you don’t actually adopt the animal and bring it home! It’s a symbolic adoption. Isn't it great! You get to adopt an animal you like but won't have to take it home because your home is not big enough. But you still help looking after the animal by paying for food and care for your adopted animal.
I will be visiting the WWF site and take a look at the animals who are available for adoption and choose my top three animals from the website.
Today on my blog I will list the three animals that I have chosen and then compare and contrast them and tell you out of the three animals the one I would most like to adopt.
1. Panda

2. Snowy Owl
Snowy Owl
3. Polar Bear
Polar Bear

I think the three animals are similar because they are all carnivores (meat eaters) and have the color white and black on their coats. This helps them to blend into their environment. Also the mothers of each animals care for their babies and are very protective.

The difference between these animals one can fly and one lives in the ice cold and one eats bamboo leaves.

All of the animals were amazing but I think I like the panda the most because he looks cute and cuddly and when I look at his face he looks sad.

Would you choose the panda?

Goodbye I hope you enjoyed reading my blog hope to see you on my next blog post please leave a comment and like my blog thank you.

  1. Tena Koe Talisa,

Well done on explaining to the readers about the adoption process. It is indeed a very creative idea to be able to adopt a pet and help them from a distance.

You have chosen a selection of animals that are similar but different in many ways. It is interesting to find out that pandas are actually carnivores who prefer a vegetarian diet. I've always seen pandas with bamboo leaves in their mouth so I never knew they would be meat-eaters!

I would have to agree with you and pick pandas as my top choice. Their face does look sad which makes them even cuter. Do you know about the dog breed named Labradors? They also have a sad-looking face but they are super cute too!

    From Susie :)
