Hey Everyone
What is your favorite food and how do you make it step by step? I know I already wrote a blog post about one of my favorite food, but I also have another favorite food to write about and it is Chop-Suey.
Here is the recipe to make it I got it from my mum:
Ingredients:
- Vermicelli
- Dark Mushroom Soy sauce
- Mixed Vegetables
- Canola Cooking oil
- Garlic
- Ginger
- onions
- Type of meat you like (beef)
Method:
- First slice sirloin beef into small pieces and set aside.
- Slice onions, dice garlic and ginger then put aside.
- Soak amount of Vermicelli needed in a bowl at room temperature water.
- turn on stove to high heat
- In pot needed for cooking, put in some oil
- then add in onion and ginger
- then add sliced beef with garlic
- cook until meat is medium cooked
- then put on low heat, don't forget to keep an eye on it and keep stir it.
- Drain water from Vermicelli
- cut vermicelli into wanted length
- turn heat up to medium level
- add desired amount of mixed vegetable and dark mushroom soy sauce to cook beef.
- Little by little add the vermicelli while stirring
- Add more soy sauce or cooking oil if needed.
- keep stirring until meat is cooked and vermicelli.
I like eating mine with rice or mashed potatoes.
What do you like eating with your favorite food?
Do you cook it yourself or does your mum or dad cook it for you?
Thank you for reading my blog post please give me feedback by posting a comment I hope I see you on my next blog post.
Hi Talisa,
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this recipe on how to make delicious Chop-suey. Surprisingly enough, I have never tried this dish yet! I am a vegetarian so maybe I can try to cook this dish with some tofu in it.
Which type of vermicelli do you use for your version of Chop-suey? There are two different types to my knowledge. Rice vermicelli are a thin form of rice noodles (often used to cook dishes from Asia) whereas there is a traditional type of pasta similar to spaghetti. I personally would love to use Rice vermicelli!
Having this dish with mashed potatoes or rice sounds like a dream. I love anything that is made out of potatoes. Do you have any other dish that you love to have? How often do you have Chop-suey?
Bye for now,
Susie
