Making A Racket Day 4 Activity 1 Week 1 SLJ

Hello Everyone,

Today I am making another blog post for SLJ as you may see. Sorry that I know I have not been quite blogging for a long time since I am  a bit lazy but anyway feel free to read this blog post if you would like too.

For this activity I had to watch a video talking about the famous tennis ball player called Serena Williams who is very good at tennis.

Here are 4 things I have learned from this video of Serena
  1. Serena Williams was born on 1981 in September the 6th in Saginaw, Michigan
  2. The Williams moved to California where Serena's talent started to blossom
  3. In 2011 in February Serena went through a big health scare many people thought she would stop playing tennis but she did not give up
  4. She also had a sister named Venus Williams who is famous for tennis too
One thing I would still like to know is does she love playing tennis?

Hope you enjoyed this blog post feel free to comment if you like. Goodbye

  1. Kia ora Talisa,

Congratulations on completing another activity! It's awesome to hear that even though you took a break from doing the Summer Learning Journey programme you're getting back into it - well done! :)

You've shared some really interesting information about Serena Williams. Isn't she talented?! I learnt from another Summer Learning Journey blogger that she started playing tennis when she was 3 years old! No wonder she's so good at it. Do you like tennis?

Have a lovely afternoon, Talisa. I look forward to reading more posts from you soon.

    Mā te wā,

    Mikey
