Disscussion:
Is there a diffrance between blocked and unblocked nose taste? Yes (To me no)
Why? Taste is only limited to the five senses sweet, salty, sour, bitter and umamai(idk what this is). All other types of flavours that we are able to experience comes from smell. When our noses are blocked most foods would taste bland or tasteless. The sense of smell rasies your abillity of taste. Smell helps with taste and taste helps with smell.
How is your week? :) mine's great(but nobody asked;-;)
This term in PE we have been learning about some gymnastics and trying out some new skills. To be honest I have never really liked gymnastics. When I found out we were doing gymnastics I was actually thinking of pretending to be sick. Epspecially the part where we need to take our shoes and socks off disgusting.
Anyway back to topic we have been doing gymnastics for exactly about 4 periods. When we do gymnastics a bunch of equipment is put out for us to use. The parallel bars, Mini tramp, Floor, Beam, horizontal bar and trampoline. My favourite equipment is the Beam because you can just lie down on the mats that surrond the beam.
I learned how to do a jump to front support(a flip) on the horrizontal bar. Also I learned how to do a cat leap on the beam. Learning new stuff is exciting i guess but I hope I can soon come to like Gymnastics.
My goal is to be a master on the beam maybe hopefully I am capable of such coolness.
Goodbye and thank you for taking the time to visit my blog feel free to comment.

Rating of hot chilli with each drink
The first chilli I did was without water and I am scoring it a 10 for burning. (Dying from the chilli)
Second Chilli with water(After Drink)
Chilli was still lingering on tounge and basically made it worse. (Water tasted disgusting)`I still rate it 10 for burning.
Thrid chilli with coke.
The burn got better after drinking the coke 5/10 because the bubbles and coldness cooled down the tounge.
Milk /10
Fourth chilli was 4/10 Milk fat cooling down the hottness and helping feel better. Dairy keeps you feeling better.
Disscussion:
Why does chilli burn your mouth?
In spicy food there are certain compunds that activate the type of sensory neurons called Polymodal Nociceptors. You have these all over your body including your nose and mouth. They are the same receptors that are activated by extreme heat. So when you eat something like a chilli peper your mouth feels like its burning because it sends messages to ur brain which thinks your mouth is burning.
Why did the milk reduce the burn?
That's because milk contains casin which helps break down and disolve capsaicin in chilli. Casin is like a
What is Capsaicin
Capsaicin is a part of chili peppers which is a chemical that
For hurumanu one, (You may already know this) but we have been reading Uncle Don Knows Heaps of Wacky Stuff. Pages 17-22 and pick one of the things that interest us and make a DLO about it. I chose a Pekapeka which is just the maori name for bat. Did you know that bats are as small as a mouse?
In this art period we have been learning about Henri Rosseau. We watched a video called "The Fantastic Jungles of Henri Rousseau" which talked about him. In a google doc we used a split screen and wrote down five facts about him that we got from the video.
Here is an artwork made by Henri Rousseau called The Dream
Henri Rousseau is a talented artist but when he aspired to become one nobody believed in him and mock him for his efforts.
Henri wants to be an artist because he loves nature. He takes a stroll around the parks of Paris and is inspired by the beautiful flowers, trees and sun that blushes as shiny as a ruby.
To learn more about anatomy he studies photography, illustrations from postcards and more.
Every morning Henri wakes up and smiles at his pictures despite all the cruel criticism and harsh opinions people have.
He started to share his paintings around the age of 40.
