How was your holiday?
In this art period we have been learning about Henri Rosseau. We watched a video called "The Fantastic Jungles of Henri Rousseau" which talked about him. In a google doc we used a split screen and wrote down five facts about him that we got from the video.

Five facts
Henri Rousseau is a talented artist but when he aspired to become one nobody believed in him and mock him for his efforts.
Henri wants to be an artist because he loves nature. He takes a stroll around the parks of Paris and is inspired by the beautiful flowers, trees and sun that blushes as shiny as a ruby.
To learn more about anatomy he studies photography, illustrations from postcards and more.
Every morning Henri wakes up and smiles at his pictures despite all the cruel criticism and harsh opinions people have.
He started to share his paintings around the age of 40.
