Spring Learning Journey Activity 1

Today I am starting the spring learning journey. I will be naming 10 different type of healthy foods that I have not tried before. I will be trying to make them start with all different letter.

Pasifica

Hi Readers,

On the 19th of September last night it was the Fia Fia night. Our school went too and had a fun time. there were lot's of different schools there. We were the last to perform. I was wearing a red Tuvaluan dress from home. Anyway after that we had lot's of food to eat. Like Chop Suey, Cooked Banana, mashed potato and more.

Athletics

Hi everyone,

On the 20th of September friday me our school started doing Athletics. Including High Jump, Long Jump, Shot put, Long distance, Discus and Sprint. Out of all of them my favourite activity Discus. So now every friday we will be dong Athletics if it is not raining.  Last year I went for athletics and had lot's of fun so I am looking forward to this year.

Disco!

Hi Everybody,

At night the 20th of September the my school will be having a school disco. Each year our school has one school Disco. One of my classmates dad is the DJ who is preparing for it. 

I am not going but I will have my own Disco at home. Anyway lot's of people in my school have already payed for it and are getting a goody bag. In the goody bags there are glow sticks, snacks and more.

100 Word Count

Hi Everyone,

I will be showing you one of my 100 word counts. If you don't know what a 100 word count is each week Miss Scott either gives our class a picture, words, question or a whole sentence to write a whole story 100 words long. Do you want to see one of mine.

It all started on a nice day. John Smith and his mate Franklin Brown were in high school and they thought about what they would do in the future as a job. Thinking for a while John Smith knew it he wanted to become a photographer and go around taking photos around the world and explore. Franklin wanted to do the same job too. Years past as John and Franklin grew closer and one day they decided to go to SA, Australia and they took their last photo capturing the beautiful moonlit sky and died on 2019 together with a smile.

Duffy Assmbly

Hello Readers,

How are you doing today?

On Friday the 13th of September we had a Duffy Assembly. We had a visitor come and talk to us about the forests and the beautiful native creatures. The visitor was a lady. 

Also talked about the creatures hurting the  endemic animals that live here and it was our fault. For example pests like Possums, Ferrets, different types of Rats and more. 

Anyway our school got to have 2 Duffy books each. The books I got were Tom Gates and Baby Sitters Club.

Miss Preston

The End Of Winter Sport

On Friday the 29th of August we had our last Winter Sport game. It was very disappointing but we felt ok. My last game was my team won.  It was fun playing winter sports and challenging other people from different teams. Our School is going to have swimming next term anyway.
