Orchestra
Bonjour à tous,
In hurmanu two we have been learning about music. This time we are getting to know about the orchestra. An orchestra is a group of instruments mixed together. Most of the time they play classical. They are made up of four families Strings, Woodwinds, Brass, and Percussion.
String Family
The string family is the largest family. It's called the string family because it uses its strings to make sound. The violin, viola, cello, the double bass, sometimes called the contra bass are all in the orchestra and part of the string family.
Woodwind
Woodwinds family uses the highest sounding instruments to the lowest sounding instruments. They are instruments you blow into. The piccolo, flute, oboe, English horn, clarinet, E-flat clarinet, bass clarinet, bassoon and contrabassoon are all in the woodwinds family.

Brass Family
The brass family includes instruments you blow into also. They vibrate in the air. Trumpets, trombones, French horns, euphonious, and tubas are part of the brass family and used in the orchestra.
Percussion
Percussion family are made up of the most common instruments in the orchestra. The Timpani, xylophone, cymbals, triangle, snare drum, bass drum, tambourine, maracas, gongs, chimes, celesta, and piano are in the percussion family.

How cars changed our world
Ciao bloggers,
What's your favourite invention of all time?
In Hurumanu with ALR we have been learning about inventions. Cool inventions like the light bulb, the telephone, the internet, the moving picture, air plane and many other significant inventions like that. The amazing invention I will be telling you about is the car.
As you know we have been working with ALR. We read books about cars and got to answer some questions about them. Then as an activity we made an info graphic about the timeline of cars.

My Sports Hero
Sabhee ko namaskaar,
Who are your sports heroes?
Two sports heroes I admire are Lydia Ko and Tom Walsh. If you don't know who Lydia Ko is she is a professional gofer. I didn't know who she was before but since we have been learning about heroes this term I learned about her. And the more I got to know her the more I started to look up to her. She is humble, resilient, committed, respectful and has many more stuff that make her a great hero.
Tom walsh is a New Zealand Athlete. He specialises in shot put. He is kind of similar to Lydia ko humble, respectful and resilient. But what stands out is his commitment to his sport. He has a lot of things that stand out and make him a hero.
Here is the DLO's I made about Lydia Ko and Tom Walsh
The Magical Guitar
Guten tag,
Whats your favourite instrument?
In Hurumanu we have been learning about instruments and music. Like the types of music there are, how it makes you feel, the instruments, what type of music we like to listen to those sort of things.
This time we have been learning a little bit about of guitars. There are lots of types of guitars the Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Spanish Guitar, Bass Guitar, Air Guitar and plenty more. To be honest I don't really like the guitar I prefer the piano but still its just my opinion.
5 facts about guitars
- The first guitar was made in ancient Egypt
- The shortest guitar is just 10 microns
- The guitar is 4000 years old
- The oldest guitar is Belchior Diaz Vihuela
- The most expensive guitar is called black Stratocaster worth 3.9 million

Pobble
Hello there,
A few weeks ago we started a pobble which is basically just a short piece of writing. We answered some questions and had to continue from the story starter. A short summery of my story is the girl is evil wants to take over the world but the smart and sly cry stops her and saves the universe.
Here's the LINK to my pobble (Read if you want to)
This is picture we used to write about
And the questions
What do you think the key is for?
Why do you think the girl is so desperate to have it?
Why do you think the crow has taken the key?
How did the clock get there? Is it significant in the story? What do you think the crow is thinking?
Where have all the leaves on the ground come from?
Thanks for coming to my blog feel free to comment.
Bye bye
