Fing Buddy Class

Hello Everybody

Last week on Friday our class and our buddy class Room One made weird monsters. We have been reading a book named Fing by David Walliams. In the book there was some really weird creatures. So for buddy class we created our own weird creatures with our buddy's.

Winter Sport

             Hello Everybody           

Last week we started our Winter Sport on Friday the 17th of May.

It was my first time doing winter sport since I was a year four last year and only year fives and year sixes can do winter sport. For Winter sport I chose netball and our team is named the Sapphires. We played our first game against Gilberthorpes and won.

Canopic Jars

Hello Everybody,

Have you ever heard of Canopic Jars?

Canopic jars were made for the important people who died in Egypt and had their organs took out of their body and put into Canpic jars. The name of the organs that were took out of the body and put into Canopic Jars were the stomach,intestines,liver and the lungs.  

For topic we have been creating Canopic Jars with room 8.  I made a Jakal. I am not finished yet.

Pyramids

       HI Everyone

During Topic we have been learning in groups of two about Pyramids from Ancient Egypt. We made a document filled with questions. I was partnered up with Venice one of my good friends. we answered all the questions in a sentence on the document without the questions on them and wrote them on a realistic pyramid. After we colour them in we need to cut out a door and draw what it would look like in the inside. We're not finished yet.

Ancient Egypt

Hello Everyone,

  

Nice to blog to you again. This term we have been leaning about Ancient Egypt. Did you know Egyptian's believed that if their name was wrote in Hieroglyphic that person would

live on and have a second life. So we created a cartouche and

wrote our own names on it. Mine is not finished yet.

If you did not know Hieroglyphic is sacred

writing that Egyptians people who are really important and scribes knew and were allowed to read and write.

Fun Foil Art

         Konichiwa everyone,

This week we did a art project using tin foil,string, a pencil, glue and a piece of paper. I have't finished my art yet but I would like to talk to you about it. Here is how we made it

The first thing we had to do is get a piece of paper and draw a random pattern with a pencil but not a hard pattern. 

Next you need to get a string some glue and glue your string to your pattern.

After you get some tin foil and rip it and wrap it around your art project.

Then you colour it in with sharpies.

Exciting Student Summit

Hello Everyone,

Today I got to go to a programme called the student summit and it was awesome. We had to go to South Hornby by car. While we were there we got too see different schools and toolkit's. My favourite was Scratch. My group was Venice,Shylah and myself. Too bad Shylah could not come cause of her sickness. Me and my group had to create a presentation and pick something we can do and like to teach others. We chose Animation using google slides. I felt a tiny bit nervous but I was proud of what we accomplished. It took lots of hard work but we did it.
