Armistice Day

Hello today I have been learning about Armistice Day with my group and want to share what I have learned about Armistice day.

 Did you know that if we did not join the army we wouldn't have a social welfare. If you don't know what social welfare means it means about that family's loved ones die or get injured in war and they don't have money or food the government gives them money to survive.

Did you also know that in Wellington because lots of peoples loved ones died thousands of people come to  Pukeahu National War Memorial not to celebrate but to remain silent for the people who died while in World War 1. 

Did you know that Britain declared war and New Zealand joined and wanted to be proud subjects of the war. in a few days thousands of kiwis joined. there were also 500 women also joined the war and served as nurses. in the middle east on the 11 hour and the 11 day of the 11 month of 1918 the war ended.

Talofa lava readers I have an exciting thing to tell you. This week I achieved a stanine 8 on my PAT test I was really proud to I stanine 7 in my math test. I am happy that I have achieved both my goals and get the chance to tell you what I have done.

The adventures of swimming

Hello today I will tell you about my swimming. This term we have been going to Canterbury Swim School. most of the people ware togs under our uniform because it be more faster but some people don't.We also go on a bus to go to Canterbury swim school. we wear caps so our hair won't get wet and we wear googles see under water. There is also big,deep and cold pool and a warm and small pool. I am in the small pool and the person who is teaching me is a lady named Jenal I am not sure how to spell her name so I don't know if it is correct or wrong so sorry if it is wrong .  with our teacher Jenal she teaches us backstroke and also bubble and breath. We  get to do something fun at the end like wiggle or dolphin dive.
